I was raised here in Jacksonville and grew up at Christ the King. My family was very involved in the parish and its activities. From a young age, I saw how a parish could be an extended family. I was involved in the youth group which allowed me to go on a pilgrimage to see JPII at World Youth Day. These experiences are why teaching in a Catholic School environment called to me.

I have been teaching for 20 years. The first 14 years I taught in public school and have spent the last 6 here at San Jose Catholic. It still amazes me that I can go to adoration or speak about my faith so openly each day. I taught 5th grade for the first 5 years but have started the adventure to teach 4th and 5th grade math this year. It has been awesome to focus solely on one subject, and to research the best ways to teach and support math students!

I love San Jose Catholic, because each family is special and has an identity. In teaching public school, it was impossible to know everyone. That is not the case here. Even when I toured for the first time when I was looking for a middle school for my oldest, Ms. Courtney called me by name and knew my family the first time I walked in the door. That left an impression.

I adore that in my classes there are families from so many cultures and so many languages spoken at home. The diversity enriches our classroom discussions and opens the door to different perspectives and experiences. I am captivated by the stories the students share from visits to their homes around the world.

It is a blessing our school has been able to stay together an entire year during this pandemic. I look forward to the places we will go here at San Jose Catholic Church and School! - Mrs. Beltz

Beautiful lady, inside and out.

You had a profound impact on Charlie’s faith life in 5th grade. Thank you for your dedication to these children!

Josie's venture through San Josie is near it's end but she will always remember you. And thanks for being a great teacher for her.

Awesome teacher!!

#TestimonialTuesday
We began our experience with San Jose Catholic School in 2008. We toured several schools looking for strong academics but most importantly, a Christ focused education. We found that and more at San Jose Catholic. Our daughter started here in kindergarten and is graduating this month from Bishop Kenny. Our son is in his last year here and is graduating this month as well. San Jose Catholic has given our children the education and leadership skills they need to be productive members of society. From the well organized administration, to the wonderfully skilled teachers, to the competitive spirit and example of sportsmanship of Coach Bergin, our children have been blessed by these role models. Thank you to everyone at San Jose Catholic who have been an integral part of our childrens lives. - The Dilts Family
