Announcement of New Principal

Dear Faculty, Staff, Students, Families and Stakeholders,

It is my great honor to write to you on behalf of Bishop Felipe Estévèz, Ordinary of the Diocese of St. Augustine, and Father Greg Fay, Pastor of San Jose Catholic School, about a leadership change at the school. Mr. Brian Wheeler, the former principal of San Jose, has taken another position as principal at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Palm Coast. This, of course, necessitated our search for a new principal for San Jose.

Jenny Studer
Jennifer Studer Principal of San Jose Catholic School

The process brought us to a strong educator, Mrs. Jennifer Studer, who brings to the table experience and leadership in her past work and ministry. She has most recently served our diocese at San Juan del Rio Catholic School, after initially teaching at Palmer Catholic Academy.

Mrs. Studer attended the University of North Florida, earning her undergraduate degree in Education, and she continued her studies by earning a Master Degree in Catholic Educational Leadership from Barry University. She currently holds certification in Educational Leadership and as a teacher.

Growing up in Jacksonville and attending Catholic school here locally at Christ the King and Bishop Kenny High School, Mrs. Studer continues her love for Catholic Education as an educator herself. Now, we are excited to have her assume a leadership role at San Jose. She is looking forward to getting to know everyone in the community and continuing to further the excellence in Catholic Education that has been a long tradition at the school. The Studer family is looking forward to being very involved in the school community, and Mrs. Studer is busy preparing for the new school year. In fact, she is already making herself available to begin listening and working with the many stakeholders of the community. You can reach her through the school office for an appointment.

Please be assured of Bishop’s prayers and success for this upcoming school year at San Jose Catholic School.

Sincerely in Christ,
Deacon Scott J. Conway
Superintendent of Schools
