San Jose Student Excels in Geography Bee

Sean M

After winning the school Geography Bee in November, 7th grader Sean M. went on to represent San Jose Catholic School in the 2nd Annual National Geographic Bee Diocesan Championship held at Bishop Snyder High School on Saturday, February 23.  Sean tied for fourth place in a very tough competition.  Last week, Sean received word that he has qualified for the state geography bee which will be held on March 29th at Jacksonville University.  Sean is one of only four students in the Jacksonville area to qualify for this event.  He is also the first San Jose student in several years to continue to the state level.  We wish him the best of luck at that competition.
