Savannah B. Swimming

Savannah B. earned two gold medals in the girls 11/12 year-old Florida Age Group Championships (FLAGS) held in Orlando on February 20-24th 200 yard breaststroke 2:25.77 (new FLAGS record); 100 yard breaststroke 1:07.92. She received a silver medal in the 50 yard breaststroke 31.35 seconds. Savannah , a sixth grader, made it to the finals in her other 3 events: 100 yd Individual Medley 1:06.12 (12th place); 100 backstroke 1:03.93 (7th place); 50 backstroke 29.63 (6th place).

She accumulated 82 points for her team, which was the highest for any female on the team, and helped Bolles-Sharks Swimming Team capture first place overall for the weekend event. She had the 4th most points for 11/12 year-old girls, but the most for any 11 year-old competitor.

Savannah, who was the only 11 year-old to medal, was the fastest 11 year-old in all events that she swam except the Individual Medley.
