Jr Youth End of the Year Bowling at Bowl America

Attention all 6th, 7th and 8th graders come and join us for our end of the year bowling night at Bowl America on San Jose Blvd on Friday, May 24, from 6:30pm to 8pm. Spelling Bee

Open to Students in grades 5 – 8

Every fall, tens of thousands of schools enroll in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. During the fall and winter, schools will conduct spelling bee programs at the classroom, grade, and/or school level, and send their spelling champions to the next level of competition as designated by their local spelling bee sponsors.

Open to Students in grades 5 – 8

Each year thousands of schools in the United States participate in the National Geographic Bee using materials prepared by the National Geographic Society. The contest is designed to inspire students to be curious about the world. Schools with students in grades five through eight are eligible for this entertaining and challenging competition.

Battle of the Books

Open to Students in grades 6 – 8

Battle of the Books is a Diocesan wide reading incentive program for students in grades 6th through 8th. Students read pre-selected books and come together in school teams to demonstrate their abilities and to test their knowledge of the books they have read. Meetings and competition preparation take place during lunch. This event takes place in March on a school day whereby all participating Diocesan elementary schools come together for this exciting and fun competition.
