Open to Students in grades 6 – 8
Practices twice a week from August through February with multiple competitions.
Introduces younger students to real-world engineering challenges by building LEGO®-based robots to complete tasks on a thematic playing surface. FLL teams, guided by their imaginations and adult coaches, discover exciting career possibilities and, through the process, learn to make positive contributions to society.
- Elementary and middle-school students get to:
- Design, build, test and program robots using LEGO MINDSTORMS® technology
- Apply real-world math and science concepts
- Research challenges facing today’s scientists
- Learn critical thinking, team-building and presentation skills
- Participate in tournaments and celebrations

FLL Joseph Stilwell Qualifier, January 19th, 2019.
San Jose Robotic Trojans Team #9280 performed consistently in the Robot Games on Saturday, January 19, 2019 in the Qualifying Tournament held at Joseph Stilwell Military Academy. They finished second in that category, just one point behind Bolles Bots Whitehurst. Congratulations to the team on their performance!
